Whole Orange Cake
You can make a cake from a whole orange, including the rind. The recipe
is from
Rainbow Nourishments.
Oranges can vary a lot in size. For a more accurate bake, weigh your
orange and scale the other ingredients accordingly.
Makes 1 cake (~16 pieces)
Ingredients
- 1 whole orange (250 grams)
- 250 grams almond flour
- 150 grams sugar
- 85 grams corn starch
- 80 grams water
- 1 Tbsp baking powder
Instructions

Wash the orange. Simmer for 30 minutes. Drain the water and let cool.
- Chop the orange and remove any seeds. Blend into a paste.

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line an 8-inch baking pan with
parchment paper.

Blend together the orange paste with the rest of the cake ingredients.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes.

Let cool before slicing. Leftovers keep well in the fridge for up to 5
days.
